“The Crouching Lion hike is a short and steep hike – yet incredibly rewarding. Being surrounded by the beautiful green luscious landscapes and vibrant blue water makes this hike one like no other.”

Where to park
We parked right across from the start of the trail.
Hiking to the Crouching Lion
The start of the Crouching Lion Hike begins here
Continue left and go underneath the fallen tree, get ready to break a sweat – the incline starts little ways after this.
It gets pretty steep – you will definitely need to use this rope if it’s even remotely muddy
After hiking for 15-20 minutes you will be greeted with a glimpse of the beautiful Kahana bay.
Finally made it to the viewpoint – took around 30-45 minutes give or take.
The view of the beautiful Kahana Bay. If you’re looking for a relatively quick and rewarding hike – Crouching Lion is the way to go. It only took us around 1.5 hours to fully complete the hike. Heading down can get quite difficult depending on how muddy the hike is because there’s not a lot to grab on to. We got pretty muddy by the end of the hike because of how slippery it was.
We hiked around 12 pm and it was pretty hot. Make sure to bring lots of water and some pretty grippy shoes or else you will be falling a lot more than necessary. A snack to eat at the top wouldn’t be a bad idea either.
